ROCHESTER, NEW YORK - 09/18/2008--- CHRISTIE SUNDERRAJAN of Rochester, New York was honored with a Champion of Excellence Award by the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (ACHMM) during its 2008 annual conference held recently in Minneapolis.
Ms. Sunderrajan, an ACHMM member and employee of Day Environmental, Inc., Rochester, New York, received the award for contributing significantly toward generating public and industry awareness of the environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) profession and the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager® (CHMM®) credential. Fifty-two ACHMM members from around the country were bestowed Champion of Excellence awards this year.
Presented since 2001, the ACHMM Champion of Excellence Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of dedicated members who advance the core purpose of ACHMM, including working to foster awareness of the hazardous materials management field and advocating public recognition of the value of the CHMM credential, the standards it represents and the professionals who uphold it.
